Glad he's doing better... That sounds almost exactly like the ride I went through with my daughter back in May...
She was diagnosed with RSV in January at 4 months old, March at 6 months old she had a small bout of Pneumonia, April at 7 months she had another bout of Pneumonia, May at 8 months all heck breaks lose.. she starts breathing hard, she's always been a noisey breather but it was 10x worse now, coughing, vomitting, fevers... Even though I asked her Pedi for her to see the pulmonologist, he refused to write the refurl and said she had the croup.. I knew better.. I finally got fed up with her throwing up everything she JUST ate because of the coughing, I finally took her in to the ER.. Her O2 levels were 88 and her fever was 101.1... She, by that time, had a server case of Pneumonia... the admitted her that night and 3 days later we were both airlifted to The Children's Hospital in Washington DC for another 4 days... I could not forgive her pediatrician for not letting us see the pulmonologist or even getting a chest xray sooner... He called me 3 times while we were at the 1st hospital and I had to have my mother call him an tell him not to contact me again.. well he then called me once after we were airlifted, DH picked up and handed me the phone.. I said "Hello" he started saying how sorry he was and I said "goodbye" an hung up the phone... For your little one's sake I hope he continues to go on the road to recovery!
