B.B. Red questions...help please

Back to the OP, I have 4 OEGB, BBreds, 2 boys, 2 girls. The boys I got as month old chicks, and they got a lot of handling from my kids. They are very sweet roos, and they hold themselves proudly, but have never been mean. They have not been aggressive with me,my kids, or their hens. Mine are all still young though. The boys, as brothers, grew up together and were BFF's until just recently, at five months old, I separated them, and paired them off with hens. They weren't really doing any damage to each other, but when we have to show them, we can't have them looking pecked. They were beginning to bicker more, and try to sort out dominance. They do just fine, two cages apart. We rotate run time. They will stand up for their ladies, if some of my bigger hens get too close to their run and try to challenge, but they've never hurt them, or instigated anything. My OEGB girls are very calm and sweet. They were 6 months old when I got them, and not handled previously, but they are just putty in your hands.

I hope yours are as sweet as mine are. If so, you'll love the breed!

There here but good luck finding them most of whats out there is misrepresented American game

The President of the Old English Game Club of America lives near me. He'll be surprised to hear this. The OE Club's National Meet is usually well over 150 head. Old English may be rare in some parts of the country but they are pleantiful in others. When I want to see some Large Fowl Old English I have only to walk out to my backyard.

my mistake, guess they are just rare in the southern part of the US....
