A family took in a fawn here in PA that the neighbors dog attacked... the fawn was rehabed by them and then they called the game commission, they came out and killed it. Most deer farms don't take wild deer as the deer they raise are domesticated deer (yes there is domesticated deer). This deer needs to be taken to a wildlife rehabber IF it's illegal in your state....you've had it for a while and it's more and more friendy around people it CANNOT be released into the wild so please do not listen to everyone else who is saying so, because by now it's imprinted.....this is why if the game commssion here in PA finds out about a person reaising a wild fawn they kill it because theres barely anyone qualified to take them and deer farms have domestic white tail not wild.

Well my mom might call a wildlife park near us too called Tanganyika they have tons of bottle fed animals. I wish we could keep her but I don't think my dad would ever fence in the yard and the nosy neighbors would call in on us.

No sorry no deerfarmer will be able to take her, It is illegal to remove from the wild for any reason. Lose my permit plus jail time, plus laws on importing deer from other states.

Most deerfarmers have had the DNR try that trick, One in his 60s was trap when these ladies say they found one and it was going to die if he didnt take it.

Easy to sex, just like a dog,goat. Yep just look under the flag.

Well at that age I sure could not tell by the pics, at that age a buck would not have the bump.

A doe thats has been imprint is ok to release, and will be fine other than hunters. Dog if they have been raised with them.

You are right about the DNR if you call them out they will take her and most likely kill them.


I also know someone who bottle fed two one of each, both from the wild. They were 5 months old when someone call the DNR. They didnt charge this lady,because she just had them in a field with a 4 ft fence. They walk out and shot both in front of this lady.

I would of seriously punched the guy in the face right then and there if they did that to anyone's handraised animal. Its cruel, their cruel.
