Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do. 
we set around lunch time on a Wednesday. Little buggers were peeping in their eggs when I moved them from the turner at 6 this morning. Weird to have an egg chirp in your hand.
I made the transfer process go quickly once I noticed they'd pipped already. Topped off the water and closed them up.
1 hatched at nap time. black or blue polish with white "top hat"
By the time I left at 4:30, 4 had hatched. 1 polish, 1 easter egger and 2 lakenvelders.
Can you feather sex any well? We'd like to keep a couple in the classroom for a week or two to chart their growth.
