babies first day outside

OK I did it...I put them outside for the day. and I admit to being a nervous chicken mommy.
I put the dogloo in the run with bedding in it, the heat lamp is hanging under the coop(they can't get in the coop yet), a pool for the ducklings with bricks in it so they can get out easy, food, a couple bowls of water, the hamster bottle the chicks know how to drink out of, a couple rubbermaid bins on their side they can get in if they want...
When I came inside 2 chicks were huddled under the heat lamp, one was pecking at a nail sticking out of the post(the head of the nail), the ducks were pigging out on food.
I locked the dogs out there with them after watching them scare one of the cats away. The cats are locked inside.
i have to go to bed soon as I work tonight, but my boyfriend promised he would check on them every hour or so.

Congrats! I'm the same way with my babies. I let them out during the day, but follow them around with a big stick to keep my four cats away. I will be found digging for bugs FOR them, instead of with them

I can't wait for them to be all feathered out and bigger so I don't have to worry as much
