My cats ignore the chickens. I'm sure they would get them if they were very small, but once they get 6 wk age or so, they just ignore them.

Of course, my 'mighty hunter kitties' also ignore rats. They'll kill mice, but they are very respectful of rats... Smart cats

(Where we live you have to purchase chicks in a lot of a minimum of 6. Dena, who I found on craigslist, and I split a 6-pack of chicks.)

What cute pictures! I think once they get big enough, chickens are a little scary for cats. Baby chicks may be a different matter all together!!

That is so cute! My cat likes to lay in the new nest I make for my hens. I guess he wants them to be comfortable. lol. I found him one day laying up in a Hawks nest high in a tree. There was no birds in it but what a funny cat! He stays back from the chickens.

Great pic! My two kittens are strictly indoors so they never get near our chicks. They do however, sit intently and watch my pointer on the computer screen as I enjoy all the pics of your chicks!!!
