Babies having babies

Ok so not really. I have two 8 week old hens that are laying. Is that normal so young? I though it was supposed to be closer to 6 months. The eggs are perfect and the hens seem fine. So do I have normal hens or freaks of nature?

How long have you had them?
How old were you told they were when you got them?

I got them at the flea market and was told they were 3 day old chicks and I have had them ever since. In looking at other images of chicks around that age they look about the same. They were tiny so I think that is correct. I do not have a current pic but will post one tomorrow.

If they are tiny I suspect you have bantams and they are older than you were told.

I meant that the Chicks were tiny when I got them. I just didn't state that very well.
