My two week old chicks are pecking out the tail feathers of a couple of chicks and making the tail bleed. Are they missing something in the diet or something else? I am feeding them Start and Grow. Can anyone help! Thank you!

Boredom is usually the main cause for this problem. Other causes could be crowding, over heated, hungry or an improper diet.

You need to disguise the naked skin or any thing that is bleeding. I use pine tar or blu-kote.

Put them under a red light and see if that helps. They might need a bit bigger area if they are crowded. You might have to seperate the ones that have been pecked until they heal COMPLETELY and then reintroduce them. If the ones doing the pecking do not stop, you might have to cull them out. Once they taste blood it is very hard to correct them of doing it.
