This is baby at 3 1/2 weeks old... It has very little barring at this point. What color do you think it is?

Looks like my cameo when she was a baby

The father is either IB BS dark pied, or his son who is silver pied. The IB BS doesn't look like all of the pics that I see, he looks IB but the top half of his wings look faded to a dark brown instead of the black with green tints if that makes any sense. I am wondering if he could be split to something else?

Thank you! I guess I'll just have fun watching as he/she grows up and see what color it turns out. I just need to be patient... or at least try.

I bought the original pair back when eggbid was still around, and they were only 15 miles away so I picked them up. There was the dark pied and a silver pied hen, both hatched that year. The seller hatched them from shipped eggs, so I have no idea on the background. When they were two, I got one egg to hatch under a chicken hen and it is a silver pied male. He is in with his parents, so either the original male or their son is the father. I was expecting IB with this baby since it obviously isn't silver pied or white but the coloring looks different from pictures of IB chicks that I see.

This is the BS dark pied as a 3 year old. He's lost the white spots but still looks faded.

This is her now 1 year old.
This picture and seeing my female cameos splay I will repeat always reminds me of a turkey with a beautiful head. It's amazing how beautiful they are splayed out. I never see my BS females splay. When the cameo hens do it they even seem to puff their neck feathers up. It is almost as awesome as the peacocks splaying. You need to send this picture to Peafowl today for their calendar. I sure would pick it as a favorite.
