Hi there!

I woke up on saturday morning to check on my chicks now about 7/8 weeks old to find one of them standing on his feeder above all the others trying to crow! It was hilarious..and i had a good feeling he was a boy all along because of his very red comb and developing wattles but this proves it!

My question is, well how old are they meant to be when they first try to crow.. because i was under the impression they dont try for ages and mine are only babies still!?

Isn't it hilarious to hear them? My Bantam Frizzle is almost 4 months old and still can't crow the "right" way; we laugh at him every time he tries! It's not unusual at 7-8 weeks, though some of them do wait longer

Yes its very funny to watch.. and i have been going around bragging to everyone like a proud momma and saying how handsome he is! Lol
