I'm hatching 9 banty eggs this week and the next, and i need some advice for a brooder. Such as: material for bedding, feeders, waterers, brooder size, etc

I strongly recommend a homemade brooder. I also recommend pine shavings for bedding, and the feeder pictured below. Size is really important and you probably should have 1/4 a square foot per bantam chick. Good luck with your chicks! :) 9544E689-A770-42E4-9A25-AADD7348981E.jpeg

Hi! I have two 2 week old bantam Mille Fleur chicks in a large Rubbermaid tote (puppy pee pads for bedding) with a quail waterer base, 1qt waterer, small roost off amazon, regular chick feeder, a brooder plate, and a stuffed bunny. They REALLY love the bunny, I really recommend adding one. They cuddle up to it and fall asleep. Good luck!

Thanks! And I'll try the stuffed bunny.

Actually I'm thinking about letting the hen raise them. Would you recommend bringing them inside in a brooder type setup? At the moment the hen is outside in a converted dog kennel with not enough protection for chicks

don't let the hen near the chicks. There is a chance she could kill them.
A brooder can be as simple as a carboard box as long as it dosen't lose too much heat. Heat plates are the easiest no hassle heat source.

Theres also a chance she won't.
And i know how to raise regular size chicks. I just wanted to know if i had to do anything special with banty chicks.
