I wouldn't breed anything that had to be treated with antibiotics without a good reason. If hay or pine shaving dust or urine is adding to eye goop then I would treat that and try to prevent it since that's an external cause that can be prevented but if it's one of the illnesses causing snuffles I would only treat if absolutely necessary and sell those animals as pets. If you had to treat that generation odds are a lot higher that you'll have to treat the next generation. If you keep breeding that way you'll have to go through a round of it with all of them. When I had snuffles show up in my herd I tried to minimize stress and wait it out. I had the antibiotics on hand but I wasn't going to use them unless they didn't improve on their own. Including the kits. Most got over it when the weather was no longer in subzero temps stressing them out and the 2 that showed symptoms past that before recovering got sold as pets.
