baby chick acts like rooster

Last night one of the 10 day old barred rocks flew to the top of a decorative mini chair, puffed up and started crowing---in baby chick language. What's that about?

Sounds like baby chick is maturing early. No seriously, I have had baby boys crow as early as 5 days and then not crow again for months.
He just realized he can do it, so he is.
