Baby Chick ate a Hair

One of our chicks (21/2 weeks old) got one of my daughters long hairs in its mouth. At first I thought I could just pull it but it was "stuck" so I didn't want to hurt the chick. The more I tried to tease it out the shorter the hair got, as if she was swallowing it. I had to just snip off what was left of the hair. She is acting good, eating and drinking, do you think this is going to be ok? Should I look out for anything? I was worried one of the long hairs would wrap around and cut off circulation I didn't think the chick could swallow it so quickly, it was a long hair!

Of course she will be ok. Unless your daughter poisons her hair?? No??? Thought not.

Same thing happened to me just now, I tried to gently pull the hair out but when I did she went quiet and the hair didn't budge, so I cut it as close to the mouth as I could because it scared me to death- I thought it wrapped around her lungs or something.
