Baby Chick Caught in Chicken Wire Injured Wing/Neck?

Got 8 baby chicks a few days ago. I think that they are about a week old. The fish aquarium that we kept our previous chickens in was broken so I decided to use a cat carrier for now. I noticed that at the feed store, the chicks were on a platform of chicken wire. That seemed to be a good idea since they were very clean. When I hatched chickens last year, I just used newspaper and shavings on the floor of the aquarium and I had to clean the cage/water a couple of times per day.

I put a piece of chicken wire in it for the chicks to stand on like the feed store had. I used a tupperware container for support. And it worked great. The water stayed clean, and so did the chicks. (Still have to clean the cage, but not incessantly.)

The problem is that I did not trim the wire close enough in a couple of spots, and one of the chicks had half its body underneath the wire. It was stuck- I'm not sure for how long. To release it, I pulled it out. I tried to be gentle, but I am afraid that I or the chicken wire hurt her. There is something (blood?) on her wing. She is sleeping right now while her siblings jump all over her. Is there anything I can/should do for her? Antibiotic ointment, perhaps? I already fixed the wire.

I would get her away from the other chicks to prevent further injury. Then you could use some neosporin without painrelief. can it stand and move ok?

peroxode solution, and maybe antibiotic ointment. I would remove her if she is bleeding as the other chicks will pick

Thanks Gonzo.

It turns out that what I thought was perhaps blood on the wing is poop. The indignity of having a sibling poop on you when you're stuck! (Sounds like something my brother might have done.) In fact, it seemed to me that the other wing was the one that was stuck....

I did put some antibiotic ointment on both wings anyway. Just in case. She wasn't walking when I put her down so I'm still a bit worried. Then I put her back in with the others and she did take a few steps to plop down. Hopefully, she's just worn out. All of the chicks are sleeping under the lamp right now.
