First time hatching and one of my EE/Cochin babies hatched this morning and I notice there is like a wash of blood inside the shell and a little bit on the chick. The chick hasn’t really “fluffed up” but the daddy is a frizzle so it’s possible that’s just the way it’s “fluff” is going to look? Just wanting to make sure there isn’t something I should be doing about the blood. Also, how long can I leave the chick in the incubator safely? I want to put as little stress on the little one as possible!

A little blood is not uncommon, should stop soon.
If it doesn't stop, like it's dragging smears all over bator floor, take a look.

Leave chick in until fully dry..and even longer up to 24 hours or so is fine.
I like to leave them in to encourage the other eggs and remove them in groups of at least 2 so they are not alone in the brooder or incubator.
