Baby chick not bearing weight-please help!

Baby chick is bearing weight again! Fingers crossed the tendon stays put. He’s a little unsteady after a week of not walking but so far so good. No painful cries, no swelling.

After 3 weeks of trying to heal the slipped tendon he still couldn’t bear weight and was in pain. (After a week in the sling he bore weight for 24 hours but has been limping ever since). I tried just keeping it taped up thinking eventually it would heal but no such luck. He hasn’t been growing and isn’t feathering out like the other chicks. He’s half the size and looks 2 weeks behind on feathering. (They are 4 weeks old). Finally put the little guy out of his misery yesterday.
