Baby chick not doing well please help

I think you should maybe try letting the feathers get wet with your finger so they can untangle themselves and he can dry but u should try and keep him warm at all times
Ok. I have washed him once..I used warm water and tried to get the sticky off with q-tips. When he hatched, I never dreamed he would make it through the night but he did. He seems really active and tries to stand and wobble but he can’t get anywhere

I hope he makes it. Give him a little more time.
If he gets stronger, you may have to wash him again, then fluff him out and dry him with a hairdryer.

Shelf liner gives traction, so if you have that it's best. But a soft cloth to snuggle is may be comforting.
I would try the sugar water to give him a boost. B-Complex dissolved in some water, then give a drop or two - that might help with the legs.

You are doing all you can :hugs

Well at least he is active I would be worried if he was not trying to move around

Thank you

I would keep it in the incubator until it is up and moving. Then put it in a prewarmed brooder. I have had chicks not fluff up until they were in the brooder, my guess is that the humidity was stopping them to fluff. They fluffed up within a few hours after being in the brooder. Good luck

Little guy is still alive..he is fluffed out more but is still weak and can’t walk.

Glad he fluffed out, but not being able to walk doesn't sound too promising.
Were you able to get some sugar water or poultry vitamins into him?
Let's hope he finds his legs within the next 24hrs.
