Baby chick not doing well.

I hatched this baby yesterday but it had a big chunk of shell stuck to its back. That came off fairly easy but its back is all stuck hard with the membrane. Any idea how I can help this little one? It seems awfully uncomfortable.

I know it's probably controversial but I wash sticky chicks in nice really warm water. I have never lost one. Just rinse really quick and immediately wrap in towel to get most of the wet off then stick under the heat lamp.

Be careful, though, because if the water is too cold or you have the chick away from heat too long it can get a chill and die.
