Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

Got my babies in about an hour ago. Sadly 2 of my ameraucanas died and I think I might lose my other one. Poor baby it's looking too good. Ideal Poultry sent me 12 RIR'S as "packing peanuts." Still can't tell what my 4 surprise me are supposed to be but I'll find out after some more sleep. Lol

Thanks Lobzi, it's always sad to lose little ones even if they haven't been with you long.

Ended up losing another Ameraucana and a RIR yesterday afternoon but everyone else made it through their first night at home. Current count is 3 Ameraucana's, 2 Barred Rocks and 10 RIR's. I'm hoping that most of the RIR's I got are pullets but I have a feeling they're all little cockerels.

Adopted 3 Serama chicks from a friend. Their mother disappeared and my friend was afraid the other chickens would kill them, so she asked me if I was interested in taking them in. Couldn't resist!

Supposedly they're about 4 week and I've already had them for a week but who knows.

So sorry to hear about the loss of chicks! Ugh.

Usually the packing peanuts wind up being boys but hopefully you'll find happy surprises in there...

the pics sure are precious.. This time of year can be tricky for having poultry sent to us. I just heard Chicago has cancelled some flights because of the weather. I sure hope no ones chicks-ducklings etc are stilling on the tarmac.

Some new EE chicks I got yesterday, so excited to see how fluffy their cheeks get, first time with normal chickens, have 2 silkies left out of 5, horrible luck 4 Roos 1 hen.
