Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

Having a heatwave in Kansas, 75+ this afternoon, its been shorts and t-shirt weather here all week. Going to be nearly 80 tomorrow. Plus they had a toasty hot pad wrapped in a towel, along with the brooder walls and a sheet over the top, just in case someone got chilly and no one could go far. The oldest in the group are creeping up on two weeks. :)
it was 95 here yesterday.

2/4 survived hatching. all 4 hatched, but 2 died shortly after.

We lost power for a total of 24 hours during incubation process, so they were weak to start with... and I'd taken those 2 eggs out of the fridge to put into the incubator to test fertility, so I can't say I'm surprised that it was 1 to many things to survive for those little guys.

However, the fresh eggs babies did well. One EE, and one sex link x EE roo.

As you can see this is Georgia, but saddly she is no more. She died of being constipated. I loved that chick. We had only had her for about a month. She was about 7 weeks old when she died. Rest in peace Georgia.
