I sent my DD to get save-a-chick for our chicks that go into lock down today. She came home with this little girl that had a bad case of pasty butt. She's a bantam but that's all I know. The pasty butt has been fixed and she pooped!! But her vent is swollen. I gave her a drop of poly vi sol and sugar water. She is finally nice and warm and resting. Just what I needed! Another chick! She's no bigger than the pad of my thumb!

Any advice on the swollen vent?

So, now I'm walking around with a chick wrapped up and stuck in my bra so she will be quiet and sleep. Thank goodness I have eggs that are due to hatch soon, she'll have friends.

poor baby yeah when ever we get new ones we have to buy several or an adult that can be quarentined and let into the flock.
