Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

Cinco and Seis, two of the chicks that were born in November. (though if I recall correctly, Seis was actually born in early December.) Because they were raised together, they are inseparable, and are never far away from each other by choice. They share the same mother, but have different fathers. Seis is a d'uccle/cochin banty mix, and Cinco is a banty cochin mixed with an unknown large fowl roo.

She is a darling. She's perhaps the only chick who I know exactly who BOTH of her parents are... Some of them, I know what breed mothered or sired them, but the individual chicken is a mystery.

And in addition, I'm quite confident that she is, in fact, a she, since her father was very obviously a rooster by this age. I was concerned because she was so skittish and afraid, and thought perhaps she'd inherited her mother's neurotic habits, but she is mellowing out as she grows, and will let me pick her up now. :) I'm thinking about naming her Little Dove.
