Baby Chick Pictures!!!!! POST!

8 Lavender Ameraucana Babies in the brooder.

Whom did you get these from? Did you hatch eggs or get day old chicks? So some of those are roos? Recommendations? I'd love to get some Lavender and B/B/S Ameraucanas.

Please post more pics as your chickies mature! I have some that just hatched under a broody bantam that are at least 1/2 ameraucana. A couple may be 3/4. The roos are destined to be dinner and the girls may be kept to lay. Some are bantams as well. 11 hatched so far (don't think the 4 larger eggs are going to hatch - not sure yet). Will see what they turn out to be... will post pics separately.

Gabrielle has been sitting on two eggs (the Silkie in the corner there). This one hatched last night, the other had quit. This little one looks to be female (sex link from Cochin bantam roo and Delaware hen).

She'll turn out to look like these golden girls. They are her sisters, after all.

You can see pics of our new chicks, link in my thread. We've had them all of 2 days and just enjoy them so much! Here's a pic from today...

Power went out for a few hours this morning so I became momma hen. They slept the whole time.

All of my birds are listed in my signature, minus the new baby.
I have my original 5 adults: Cochin bantam roo, Delaware hen, d'Uccle hen, and two Silkie hens. They are all now a year old (Silkies just turned a year this month)
For pullets at/around POL, 10 of the black ones in the pic (Cochin x Silkie), three of the Sexlinks (Cochin x Delaware). and one Cochin x d'Uccle. Also one cockerel Cochin x d'Uccle from the same batch.
Then all of the teens and younger (21 at 12 weeks and younger).
