. My two gold sex links. Supposed to be pullets but I am wondering if the bigger one is a rooster. It likes to stretch it's neck up and open wide like it's trying to crow. I think they are a little over a week old, perhaps two

If they are sex links, the ladies will be yellowish with a little buff, brown or tannish color on their backs. The boys will be all yellow. Hard to see from the photo, though.

Ok, well the smaller one has pretty redbrown stripes on her back by each wing, the other is pretty much all yellow. Would that explain the aggression starting to show?

I wouldn't be so hasty as to answer that with a yes or no.....if you got them from a hatchery, ordered Sex Links and one is yellow and the other has the darker bands on it's back, then I'd say yes, you have a boy and a girl. If, however, you got them from a feed store, there's always the possibility that a chick got put back in the wrong bin - happens all time. So your all yellow chick could be a Buff Orpingon or some other breed. Individual birds, even within the same breed or variety, have different personalities as well so at this age that's more "just a hint" and a lot less of a "definite clue".

So be patient.

The back of the smaller one. They were both the same size when I bought them, but yes, they came from IFA country store. The smaller one is taking longer to feather out. Thanks for your help. I will continue to wait.

Much too young to sex at all, unless you use their sex linking, if they are gold sex-links, which I have no experience with. The difference in size could simply be that one is eating more than the other, or they are different ages. Even just a few days makes a size difference in chicks.

This "crowing" is probably adjusting the crop. They strech out their neck and open their mouths like they have something stuck in their throat. This is completely normal, and both males and females do it.

They are cute. I would just wait and see!
