Hmmmm.... possibly pasty butt. But the leg sticking out is something to keep an eye on. Leg issues are usually a sign of vitamin deficiencies or disease. Do you have any chick-saver/vitamins that you can add to her water? If the poop is REALLY runny (and especially if it has blood in it) then it could be coccidiosis. In which case, you'll want to treat her with some Corid. There are people who have administered some yogurt and egg yolk to chicks with leg weakness... but I don't have any specific experience with those.Has anyone seen this before? One of my chicks has this coming out the pooper end. Could it be a yeast infection? She's not moving much but still hanging on. Likes to stick out one of her legs but it still works. Any help or knowledge would be cools. She's isolated in a transparent container with the others for safety.![]()
That could possibly be pasty butt. The leg issue is worrisome, I would treat her with some vitamins. Do you have any chick-saver or vitamins on hand? Add them to her water. If you don't, then your local feed store should carry some. Leg issues can be a sign of vitamin deficiencies or possible disease. You could read into coccidiosis, my chicks had that and I had to use Corid to treat them. Leg issues and lack of movement was one of their symptoms. I know some folks use yogurt and egg yolks to help boost their chicks into better health, but I personally don't have any experience using those to help with leg issues. For me, Corid and vitamins worked.Has anyone seen this before? One of my chicks has this coming out the pooper end. Could it be a yeast infection? She's not moving much but still hanging on.
