I set 8 one tan egg was not fertile. Chicks were due Fri./Sat This chick is a Blue Isbar from the large blue egg. The other 3 large eggs have pips, The small eggs were one day off. but in air cells. Besides blue Isbar, there are SFH and BCM.

Does anyone have this problem:
A hen sits on eggs and once the babies hatch she abandons them? I have one of two babies with me now. The babies chased mama out of the nest Im guessing, and one died probably of exposure and the other one I put with two hen who have been sharing a nest for weeks now without a hatch. I thought they might take care of this baby but all they are doing is keeping it warm. I finally took it from them and offered it food and drink. The hens were not feeding it the food I was putting in the nest so the little one was very hungry but mostly thirsty. All will be good now though I guess I have to adopt it. I seem to have a problem with hens just pretending to want to be mothers...
