For them to play in and for them to get their grit because i don't buy grit. They need grit to help digest their food so the little stones and sand i guess help with digestion.

I was told chicks don't need grit as long as they're on chick feed. Is that true?

As long as they are eating ONLY chic feed, treats=grit
