OMGoodness! Leo is adorable! What breed?
Oh no, how awful! I hope your next batch arrives alive and well.I am having chick envy.......mine were DOA last week..I am super worried about a different order we are supposed to get a freak snow storm with 5 to 9 inches of snow...
here's all six that we got Sunday from a feed store (our first ever chicks!) three Black Australopes and three EE's. The yellow EE is my son's and the runt BA is my daughter's. Yes, basically the two snuggled together. They've really taken to each other. Three of them chillin' today.
One BA who's developing silverish coloring and white wing feathers the tips. the other two are black.
I am no expert but based on my chickens that hatched saturday yours look older than 3 to 4 days. They look real nice though. The silverish BA being curious..and her sister...not so much.
(I don't know how to rotate pictures. sorry) My Daughter with one of the EE's (and her crazy hair)
Closeup of the EE.
My son with "his" chick, Moonlight.
Based on feathering, how old would you say these girls are? The store said 3-4 days, but I was thinking more like 5 ish?
The easiest way to rotate them is to go to the folder the images are in, right-click the image you need to rotate, and select "Rotate clockwise" or "rotate counter-clockwise" as necessary.(I don't know how to rotate pictures. sorry)
