Red Stars are my favorite, I adore mine. I have four that are about a year old and I picked up 6 more a couple of weeks ago.

my babies are growing up! I brought them home Mar 8 at 2wks old...a mixture of amber/ black/white and red stars (10 in total). My first experience (since I was a child) raising baby chicks and what fun they are!
Yesterday was their first day outside! oh what fun they had, pulling up worms, chasing butterflies and a whole lot of other treasures scratching in the yard

And then 3 days ago.....

my broody Lady hatched these cute little chicks
My first home-grown chicks!! So exciting!!

Omigosh, when one of my hens went broody and hatched out chicks, I was over the moon! Now it seems she and her "twin" go broody together, and have gone broody twice before their first birthday... they may yet hatch out many more chicks for us.

I have a polish and I ended up having to cut the feathers around her eyes so she could see her hair would get wet and muddy and and she would be blind btw strawberry yogert bad idea what a mess
