I was told it's a black Australorp but I think they lied :)

I wouldn't say nessarily. My black austalorp started with a lot of white and as it got older all the feathers changed to black. But who knows, maybe not.
 
Chicks at 3 weeks, Ppetunia is still tiny. Big Show behind her grew massive already.

My almost 8 weeks old chicks have outgrown this thread :-)

They are so pretty with all their feathers! And so grown up flying out of the yard got their first wing clip for their saftey.
 
Anyone know if this could be a buff orrington? I have 4 of them if so to go with my wellsummers.
Looks like a Red Star (Red Sex Link, Golden Comet - they have lots of for basically the same chicken, depending on where you get them). You should be very happy with her egg production and temperament. I really like all of mine. But it's definitely not a Buff Orpington.
