@DaQatz Do you like having guineas? Are they extremely loud and annoying?

Yeah I do like Guineas. They can be quiet loud though. However their other benefits can't be ignored. They are great for tick control. And yes even can act as a "guard dog". I have found they also protect the chickens too. Once we had a small bantam cochin get attacked by a hawk. This cochin always hanged with the Guineas. The guineas attacked the hawk, and drove it off. The cochin is survived and is still doing will today. So yeah I do think they are worth the noise.

That is what I am told by my uncle. He has raised them with hens and he says the behave more like chickens and are calmer.

My guineas, for me, have been way less trouble than my neighbors dogs. I'm sure my neighbors think my guineas are more trouble than their dogs, though
They have guineas too, but keep them penned up (5 guineas + 15 chickens in a 10x10 run with no coop) which I don't understand. In my mind that defeats the purpose of having guineas.
