2nd Batch (April) (This one is mostly undecided. Kind of get what's there situation.)

If you know of any in Washington, please tell me! I can't afford show birds, though. I will be mostly hatching my own mixed chicks next year. Really excited except for the killing roosters part.

I have been trying to give away my roosters since Sept. here no luck. they are all so nice I have not gotten around to doing the deed. but it will be soon.

My plan is that killing will be a last resort. I will always try to rehome first. I can keep roosters here, but my parents won't let me have more than one, unfortunately. We could only have a maximum of two anyway, as our coop fits 25 chickens.

It's the same over here in the UK
I lost count of how many of my frizzle polish boys were culled last year. Could not give them away and I would much rather cull them or they could end up in an unscrupulous home. I know they have had a happy, well loved life with me and the end is quick for them.
