Looks too light (to me) to be a RIR, is probably a golden sexlink (also known as golden comets, red stars, golden layers... and so many other names I don't even know them all lol)

Yep. I added six Golden Buff chicks to my laying flock because they are supposed to be prolific (and sweet tempered).

Red sex link is another name for the same cross, so yup, should be great layers!

(They are a cross between a red breed of rooster and a silver based hen, and different hatchery's call them different things)

thats a roo mine looked exactly like it when he was younger. Don't make the same mistake I made and give him away. They are gorgeous when they get mature.
