Baby Chick Pooping Red

I just got three baby chicks yesterday and one of them is pooping a little bright red blood.

Shouold I put some Sulmet in their water right away? I'm a little concerned and have never dealt with this before.

No - it's non-medicated

Certainly sounds like coccidiosis-if it's still alive start it on the Sulmet right away. If all the chicks have been in together they've all been exposed so the others will need to be medicated as well.

Yes, I gave them all medicated water this morning. I couldn't get a quick enough response so used my common sense.

As of this morning, all three were acting fine and still only the one chick was pooping some blood. I'll continue the Solumet according to the directions on the bottle.
