I have a week old baby chick that was lethargic a couple days ago. Removed her from the brooder. Gave her electrolytes , medicated chick starter, fed her egg yolk. She seemed to be better. My husband has been checking on her periodically during the day she is eating and drinking . She has had a little diarrhea. This evening she seems to be panting, not drinking or eating. She peeps very little tonight. Her crop is full. Not hard feels the same as all my other babies. She does move around the box I have her in. She has room to get out of the heat plate but she seems to want to stay under the heat. The room she is in is around 86 degrees. Any advice? I’ve had chickens for several years and have been very fortunate not to have dealt with ftt or really any sick baby chicks

I have poultry cell but no nutridrench. Our local feed store doesn’t carry it. I will definitely be getting some.
You can use Poultry Cell. With a week old chick, I'd give her 2-3drops orally twice a day.

Do you have photos of her and the brooder?

Her crop is full, but she's not eating/drinking. Check her crop first thing in the morning before she's ate or drank, see if it's emptied.

The panting is concerning along with her wanting to stay under the heat. Do you feel anything like an air bubble under the skin around the abdomen, legs or under the wings?
