Baby chick problem

My baby chick seems active and healthy, but as you can see from the picture there is a bloody ball hanging from its bottom. Has anyone ever seen this before and is there anything I can do?

It looks like to me, maybe unabsorbed yolk. It's hard to tell in the pictures. Is it like this:


In the pics yours looks a bit redder, but it could be the bloody membrane wrapped up around it and dried.

The same thing happened to one of my checks too. I don't know what it is exactly. Did you ever find out?
