Baby chick... solo!

I also add an outdoor thermometer to her box to make sure she is not overheated, it should be around 90-95 degrees in there. Show us a pic so we can estimate her age for you.

They only had one lamp, but it's metal, not plastic so it should be fine. She also sold me a 250w infra red lamp bulb as again that was the only option. She said i just raise it up higher as the chick gets older or its warmer outside, or turn it off for some time during the day. What do you think of that?

Im going to set my chickie up in the conservatory as its much more sheltered than anywhere we have outside. At the moment though, while she's still so small, im going to keep her inside with the desk lamp as she is perfectly content with that. She's so quiet and calm now!

Thankyou so much for all your help and advice, you're stars, i would have been lost without you! (I will post photos when i work out how to upload them!)

UPDATE!: Ok, i think i've worked it out. Hopefully this will work, so that someone can help me age my chick if at all possible!
