Baby chick with a bad leg

I have a three week old baby chick and she cant put weight on her left leg. I got her from a hatchery that way at the time i wasnt sure what to do because I had never before came across this problem. So i waited to see how she would do because she was eating and drinking just fine. Now though all my other chicks are twice her size and her leg has now turned and it drags when she hops about. I seperated her a few days ago from the other chicks along with two other small chicks. I was wonder if their was anything i could do for her to fix her leg. I can't stand not trying to find way to help her. No i know knows what to do for her. What should i do?

I wish I could help...mine is having sort of the same problem. You could try the bandaid splint for spraddle leg, but at 3 weeks it may be too late. And to be honest, it doesn't sound like a spraddle problem, so I'm not sure how that would really help. Good Luck!

I ahve the exact same problem with my chicks leg. We got him for free form the hatchery thinking that hed be easy to fix, cuz at first it just looked like he had curled toes on one foot. But we have been battling this condition fo rtwo months now to no avail. Heis leg now drags backwards (as of abotu a week ago) and even with a splint and hobbles on him he isnt progressing at all. I am afraid it is too late to do any correctional work on his legs. I was splinting, hobbling and giving poly vi sol without iron to supplement him, and nothing has helped. And I do not want to be discouraging, but we are probably going to end up puttinghim down, I love him soooo much and he is my favorite little banty, but I jsut can not see him suffer anymore. After trying our last hope at a different slinting technique last night, we decided that the best thin gto do now is to pu thim down. He can no longer get to food and water on his own, so we are taking him after work to be euthanized. I hope you can save yoru chick! its breaking my heart that we have to put ours down, he was our favorite little lover!
