Chinese Silkie chick, about 3 weeks old. For about 2 weeks has had an eye issue--one eye swollen and gets gunky (not yellow that I can tell) and closes shut.
I have been putting warm rags on it and cleaning it out for the first week.
This last week I started cleaning it out, holding his eye to the warm rag and also giving him Polyvisol and Vitamin A capsules.
After several days there seems to be no improvement.
He has a twin and the twin is slightly larger, however, this baby eats, drinks and runs around with all the other 12 chicks.
Only in one eye.
I tried posting before and got no response.
I tried the Chicken Health Handbook, they said Vitamin A through Cod Liver Oil (I think that's what it was) I bought just Vit. A capsules.
But nothing seems to be working.
Hubby won't cull chickens.
Any suggestions?
