My EE Roxanne had the same issue. Coincidence? Feeder similar to Aarts and raised a bit solved the issue! Good luck!

I have a bird now that digs and piles and tries to pull feed out of this 3" deep 'no waste' feeder. Putting a piece of slit tubing on the edge cured that problem.
I think they like to eat off the ground...or maybe it is just a neurotic obsession.
