Baby Chick

I have a baby chick thats been abandoned by mum ~ there are 2 other eggs not hatched yet ~ I have her under a heat lamp but worried she's lonely ~ what should I do ?

Are you sure it's actually been abandoned? Sometimes mom will leave the nest to eat and drink, even with a chick already hatched.

I found her in the run by herself and tried to put her back with Mom but she kept pecking her .

You can put a mirror in with the baby and she won't feel so lonely. Make sure the baby also has food and water available. Maybe once the others hatch you can slip this baby back in at night with the mom.

She has water and chick crumb ~ but I haven't seen her taking any yet.

You may want to tap around the food and water. Show it what to do.
But the yolk has enough nutrition for 3 days after hatch. My chicks always start eating within 24hrs of hatch though.

Yes I've tried that ~ and also wetting beak with water . It feels such a responsibility ! fingers crossed I can put her back with Mom .
