Baby chicken and summer

I got my first chickens early spring I started with 14, one died. They are about 12 weeks now and are very big. So I decided to get few more babies I got 5 Ameraucanas,3 barred rocks, 4 silver spangle hamburg,and 6 sexlinks I lost 6 so far due to the heat. I learned a great lesson Inwill get my babies in spring and fall Summer is to hard for baby chicks.

Please don't say that! My 8 girls are 3 weeks old tomorrow! And we still have August to go through. Yikes!

Sorry about the loss of your birds. Was it the 6 Sex Links you lost or just 6 total chickens? Did you get Black or Red Sex Links?
