It's simply endearing to see chicks less than a week from the shell scratching industriously in the pine shavings like Big Chickens. Very determined little peepers. And then playing Keep-Away with a larger, poo-blackened shaving as if it's a real prize!

I completely agree! I miss watching my babies in the house, but only have 11 days left on my bator.

Moi?? Surely you jest! I am merely espousing the joys of watching newly-HATCHED, chicks I myself have INCUBATED from eggs, growing up into actual chickens.

Whyever would you imagine I could be "enabling" others?
