Baby chicken with bad leg

hi there just had five chicks and one has what looks like this straddle leg , so we had applied the elastaplast to its legs ,here's hoping,

Hi fred, hope your chickens make it. This chicken didn't but now it's brothers and sisters are fully feathered and close to adulthood.

BRILLIANT ADVICE we had five chicks (light sussex ) one of which had a bad leg , after searching web sites we came on your thread and thought what have we got to loose, so we tried the bandaid on the legs, she was a sorry sight at first , but after five days you should see her go , many thanks for the tip

Hi just persevere we had three band aids before it held , but it was well worth the effort ,good luck

I'm excited he/she has started putting pressure on its other leg. I had to use another band aid and he/she's leg is still turned out but at least it's using it.

Don't worry to much. I have a chicken like that and she is fine. You will need to give her food away from the others because she will not be able to get it with the others fighting over it. And it is best to give her a rest sometimes in a nice worm place away from the others,

I had no luck with her leg She broke free of the bandaids while I was away for a weekend and my family didn't notice. When I got back to here her knee was fused she can no longer bend it it seems I'll have to cull her.

I have one that was like that and the older chicks in the bunch are attacking it its breathing heavy and on its side i dont k ow why they are attacking him i was gonna make him a chick shoe tonight after work but my wife said they attacked him when she was outside and they began attacking another one thats a runt and hurt his leg also . Why are they doing this.
