Have your small chickens ever beeped melodies for you? We keep our two week olds in our combined living-, bed-room (we are renovating the house so we live in one room and kitchen for the moment.) The other morning when my alarm began to beep, one of the chickens was copying the melody several times. I have never heard about chickens doing this. Anyone else with a simual experience?

We have had our windows open in our living room while our chicks were growing up. We started hearing really interesting sounds coming from the brooder box recently. I thought it indicated that they were roosters, but they're not. It sounds an awful lot like some of the birds outside, but I don't know what they are.

I whiched I had a video camera. Thet are copying the birds outside to. I guess this happens a lot but unnoticed since most people don't have their chickens in their living. I will try to find a way to reccord it.
