These two chicks are about a week and a half old…any idea on gender or when you start to know?
 
The one with the noticeable comb may be a cockerel just based on the development of the comb so young but it’s too early to really know
 
I think it's just too early to tell. Some breeds have features to look for at hatch to determine sex.
I would watch them for developing saddle feathers. Long pointy saddle feathers = Cockrell/Rooster. It will be a while before those develop. The prominent comb on that one chick could also be an indicator, but not guaranteed.
