baby chicks and a old rooster?

I have 4 chicks that i got in march. i have a friend who is giving me a rooster next week. can i put them together now?

NO! You can put a rooster with hens of breeding age but tossing him in with young chicks may well result in him getting a hearty meal and you being devastated. They aren't his offspring, don't expect a paternal response.
