Hello everyone! I'm new to the backyard chicken game, but I have 9, 1-week old chicks. I'm sooo excited to see them grow and eventually get eggs from them. Originally, I planned to buy four, but with the but two get one...you know how it goes. I also plan to buy my coop from a local builder, but ice seen sooo many nice ones on the site. If I can get enough lumber together in the next two weeks, I will build my own. Regardless, it'll be a grand adventure!

Congrats on the new babies!! I know how it goes...you go to the feed store for 3 of them, and you come home with 10!!

You might want to do some reading in our learning center here on BYC. Lots of good reads on all the aspects of keeping poultry from building the coop, raising your new babies, and keeping you adult flock healthy and safe...
