Baby chicks dieing

That is actually the best suggestion I've heard. With a necropsy(is that the right word?) at least you'd be able to find out once and for all what the problem is.

Thanks for all the replys!! I'll let you know what happens. Starting over with all new stuff may be my best way to go. I've pretty much tried everything else. I have watched them pretty close and cannot detect anyone eating the litter but you never know what happens when you aren't there. I did add vit/electrolites to the water as directed by the product label but this didn't seem to help. Nothing I have tried has seemed to change things much. If I can come up with anything that works I'll let you know and maybe someone else won't have to go through the same things I am. It's really heartbreaking to see so many going from normal looking active chicks to laying on their sides and dying.

I only used corn cob bedding with my exotics. I use pine shavings for my chicks. They eat tons of that with no ill effects. Not that I want them to but I can't stop them so... I would can the bedding. What is the name of the starter. If it is purina try switching to another like prime feeds or natures best or something.

Cause Purina has issues I dont trust them.
